摘要： In response to detecting a traffic event such as a motorcycle lane splitting or an accident, a vehicle broadcasts a notification over a V2V communication channel. Traffic events may be detected using sensor systems of the vehicle or in response to messages reporting the event. Notifications may be received from the vehicle over a cellular communication channel. Roadside infrastructure, such as DSRC or cellular communication installations receive the notification and may rebroadcast it to adjacent vehicles. A DSRC installation may broadcast the message by way of a cellular communication installation and vice versa. The vehicle may provide a cellular notification by way of a driver's mobile device connected to a controller of the vehicle.

摘要： A method of recommending radio stations including the step of generating a plurality of driver models. Each driver model may correspond to a different driver and documents audio content listened to by that driver while driving. The plurality of driver models may be aggregated to generate a recommendation model correlating radio stations, audio content, and geographic regions. Thereafter, a request for recommendations may be received from a driver while the driver is in a familiar or unfamiliar geographic region. A driver model corresponding to the driver may be compared against other data contained within the recommendation model in order to identify one or more radio stations that present audio content within the geographic region that best matches the audio content documented within the driver model corresponding to the driver. The one or more radio stations may then be communicated to the driver.

摘要： An autonomous vehicle includes a VR display in which virtual controls are rendered, such as a virtual steering wheel, virtual accelerator pedal, and virtual brake pedal. User interaction with the virtual controls are detected and interpreted as control inputs. These control inputs are validated to determine whether they would result in collision or unstable operation of the vehicle. The vehicle controller may then implement the control inputs, modify them, or ignore them in order to avoid unsafe conditions. Feedback to the user may be provided by means of haptic gloves, shoes, or haptic devices in a seat of the vehicle. The user's state may be evaluated for impairment prior to enabling or executing control inputs.

摘要： The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to inspect autonomous vehicles. An autonomous vehicle carries a UAV (or "drone") in a protected area, for example, in a glove compartment, trunk, etc. Between rides, the UAV can be deployed to inspect the autonomous vehicle. Images from the UAV can be sent to other components for image analysis. When an inspection is completed, the UAV can return to the protected area. The UAV can inspect both the interior and exterior of an autonomous vehicle. When an inspection is passed, the autonomous vehicle can begin a new ride. When an inspection is failed, the autonomous vehicle can report for repairs or summon a tow vehicle.
