摘要： A cable support includes a metal bracket having a bottom, and a stem and a tip extending from opposite sides of the bottom. The bracket may have in general a U shape (or a squared-off J shape), with a cable-receiving area between the stem and the tip. The support has one or more rollers between the bottom and the cable- receiving area, extending from the stem to the tip. The cable-receiving area has open sides at opposite ends, allowing the cable to be pulled through the cable- receiving area while resting on the one or more rollers. The support may be connected to other cable supports through a variety of mechanical mechanisms.

摘要： A bolt (10) has a pointed end with cutting edges (26, 94). The cutting edges may have knurls (grooves) 26 or ridges, and may have a spiral arrangement. The bolt (10) may have a convex end, such as a cone end or a curved end. A plurality of bolts (10, 90) may be used as part of a reinforcing ba'r splice (100) that also includes a sleeve (110). The bolts (10, 90) engage threaded.holes (120) of the sleeve (110). As the bolts (10, 90) are tightened, they bore into the receiving bar ends (102, 104), securing the bar ends (102, 104) within' the sleeve (110). Cutting edges (26, 94) on the bolts (10, 90) aid in boring the ends of the bolts (10, 90) into the reinforcing bar ends (102, 104). Using cutting edges (26, 94) on the bolt ends allows deeper penetration of the bolts (10, 90) into the reinforcing bar ends (102, 104), without increasing the amount of torque used.

摘要： A locking device includes a main housing with one or more plunger sets therein for gripping a cable. The plunger sets each have two or more pieces, for example plunger pieces, that are partially within a bore in the main housing. The plunger halves or pieces have teeth on inner surfaces, for gripping a cable that runs through the bore, between the plunger halves or pieces. A spring within the bore biases the plunger set to one side of the bore, a location in which the plunger halves or pieces are pressed together, causing the inner surface teeth to bite into the cable to secure the cable. A nut is threadedly connected to a threaded outer surface of the plunger halves, outside of the bore, to allow the plunger set to be moved within the bore, to allow disengagement of the cable from the teeth.

摘要： A hanger for hanging a circular cross-section object (IS) , such as a pipe or conduit, includes a top portion (12) that has a channel (24) for receiving a rod (20) therethrough, and a bottom strap portion (14 that supports the pipe and conduit (16) . Ends of the bottom strap are fastenerlessly connected to the top portion (12) on opposite sides of the top portion central portion. The ends of the bottom portion may fit into slots or notches in the top portion (12) . Ends of the top portion (12) may be bent to maintain the coupling between the portions. The bottom portion (14) may include a flexible portion, such as looped flexible cable, with an end of the cable loop (96) secured at one end of the top portion (12) by inserting the cable into cable-receiving channels in the top portion (12) . Alternatively the bottom portion may include a relatively rigid strap, such as a sheet metal strap.
