    • Container closure apparatus including a rigid container having an open end with a top edge along a collapsible container disposed within the rigid container and having an open end. A cap means for covering the rigid and flexible container open ends and a plug seal providing a primary seal between the rigid container and the flexible container. The plug seal includes, in combination, a peripheral outwardly extending wall portion on the flexible container and a depending portion, extending from the cap means, for pressing the wall portion against an inside wall of the rigid container. A gasket seal provides a secondary seal between the rigid container and the flexible container. The gasket seal includes, in combination, a lip outwardly extending from the flexible container open end and a groove, disposed in the cap means, for pressing the lip against the rigid container top edge. The cap is secured to the rigid container in a position enabling the depending portion means to press the extending wall against the rigid container inside wall and enabling the groove means to press lip against the rigid container top edge.

    • The present invention provides to cyclopentane heptanoic acid, 2 heteroaryl alkyl or alkenyl derivatives which may be substituted in the 1-position with hydroxyl, alkyloxy, amino and amino groups, e.g. 1-OH cyclopentane heptanoic acid, 2 heteroarylalkenyl derivatives. In particular, these derivatives are 7-[5-hydroxy-2-(heteroatom-substituted hydroxyhydrocarbyl)-3-hydroxycyclopentyl] heptanoic or heptenoic acids and amine, amide, ether, ester and alcohol derivatives of said acids wherein one or more of said hydroxy groups are replaced with an ether group. These compounds are potent ocular hypotensive and are particularly suited for the management of glaucoma. Moreover, the compounds of this invention are smooth muscle relaxants with broad application in systemic hypertensive and pulmonary diseases; with additional application in gastrointestinal disease, reproduction, fertility, incontinence, shock, inflammation, immune regulation, disorder of bone metabolism, renal dysfunction, cancer and other hypoproliferative diseases.

    • Enzyme compositions and methods employing enzyme compositions are disclosed which are useful for cleaning contact lenses. In one embodiment, a composition in accordance with the present invention comprises an enzyme component effective when released in a liquid medium to remove debris from a contact lens located in the liquid medium; and an autolysing agent effective when released in the liquid medium to effect autolysis of the enzyme component located in the liquid medium. This composition is preferably structured so that the enzyme component is released in the liquid medium before the autolysing agent is so released. The period of time between the release of the enzyme component and the autolysing agent is sufficient to allow the enzyme component to effectively remove debris from a contact lens which is introduced into the liquid medium before or at the same time the enzyme component is released in the liquid medium.
