摘要： The toner cartridge manufacturing year and date, the number of printed sheets, remaining toner amount, and the like are read out from a toner cartridge memory element. When the number of months which have elapsed after the manufacturing is not greater than a predetermined number of months, and the number of printed sheets is not greater than a predetermined number of sheets, and the remaining toner amount is not smaller than a predetermined amount, the toner cartridge is judged to be reusable and the toner amount to be filled is calculated. The judgment result and the color and amount of toner to be filled are output from a monitor and a printer. The reusability of the toner cartridge can be rapidly and accurately judged and the toner is used effectively. The information stored in the memory element may be the rotation time of the development roller and the supply roller or the number of reuses.
