    • For evaluating the output signal in the form of a binary current signal (IS) from an active sensor (1), a circuit is proposed in which a proportional current is derived from the sensor current (IS) with the aid of a current balancing circuit (2, 2'), and the current (I1) resulting from current balancing is drawn off from a stabilised voltage source (UK) via an ohmic resistor (R1), thereby generating a binary voltage signal (V1) which is applied to a flipflop (3) comparing the voltage signal (V1) with a reference voltage (UBez) composed of a reference voltage (URef) and a hysteresis voltage. The switching threshold of the flipflop (3) is varied or adjusted in accordance with the actual sensor current (IS), leakage currents, etc.

    • A circuit arrangement for driving actively and/or passively operated warning signal generators or warning lights (WL1, WL2) has an integrated circuit (IC1) with individual driving stages (1, 2) and connection pins for the individual warning signal generators. An adapter pin (WLCON) is further provided which when grounded configures the circuit (IC1) for driving two passive warning lights (W1p) or other warning signal generators. When connected to an ohmic resistance (R) which leads to ground, the adapter pin (WLCON) enables an active (W1a) and a passive (W1p) warning signal generator to be driven, and when the adapter pin (WLCON) remains open, it configures the circuit (IC1) for driving two active warning signal generators (W1a). Switching control stages (3, 4), in conjunction with flip-flops or warning light registers (11, 12), ensure that in the switching-on phase of the electronic elements the warning lights or warning signal generators are activated at first depending on the wiring of the adapter pins (WLCON).
