    • The present invention, which finds preferably application in the field of telecommunication technology, relates to a cable connector tray, especially to an optical fibre cable connector tray (1a; 1b), to a tray device (200) provided with such a cable connector tray (1a; 1b), to a tray holder (312; 412) provided for releasably securing said cable connector tray (1a; 1b) and to a method for connecting a connector (3) supported by said cable connector tray (1a; 1b). The cable connector tray (1a; 1b) comprises a tray housing (10a; 10b) with a cable opening (12) for receiving and guiding a cable (2) to an inside of the tray housing (10a; 10b) and a connector opening (14) for receiving a connector (3). The connector (3) is mounted movably relative to the tray housing (10a; 10b) so as to be movable between a mating position for connecting the connector (3) with a mating connector, and a retracted position at which the connector (3) is disconnected from the mating connector and retracted into the tray housing (10a; 10b). Thereby, a protection property of the cable connector tray can be enhanced. Further, connection between the connector and a mating connector can be simply and reliably achieved.

    • An optical fibre coupling device and a method are disclosed. The optical fibre coupling device comprises a first patch strip comprising a first plurality of optical fibre connectors arranged along a face of the first patch strip and a second patch strip comprising a second plurality of optical fibre connectors arranged along a face of the second patch strip, the first and second patch strips being in a stacked arrangement where the second plurality of optical fibre connectors is offset from the first plurality of optical fibre connectors in a first and a second direction transverse to a stacking direction. Such offsetting improves access to the individual optical fibre connectors. This improved access assists an operative when managing or maintaining optical fibre connections and helps to reduce the likelihood of fatigue or failure since adjacent optical fibre connections are undisturbed during this process and the optical fibre connections may be easily accessed without needing to move or manipulate adjacent patch strips.
