    • The invention relates to a method for producing a detector that makes it possible to detect the presence of at least one given ion in a liquid-phase sample. According to the invention the method comprises the following steps: a conductive solution is supplied that contains 5-hydroxy-1,4-naphthalenedione or a derivative thereof; an electrically conductive support having a receiving surface is supplied; said electrically conductive support is immersed in said conductive solution; and an electrosynthesis electric current is circulated in said electrically conductive support so as to cause the formation of a layer of a polymer of 5-hydroxy-1,4-naphthalenedione or of a derivative thereof on said receiving surface, to which said polymer covering said receiving surface is capable of reacting with said at least one given ion to produce a detection electric current in said electrically conductive support.
