摘要： The present invention relates generally to the modification of molecules, in particular of proteins and nucleic acids, called glycation, which results in formation of advanced glycation endproducts and protein or nucleic acid crosslinks. The present invention provides products, and more particularly enzymes, that are useful for preventing or reversing protein and nucleic acid glycation. The invention in particular relates to an in vitro method for preventing and/or reversing glycation of a molecule of interest, said method comprising the step of bringing together the molecule of interest and a DJ-1 protein and/or one of its homologs.
