    • A gas powered soldering tool (1) comprises a main housing (3) which forms a handle (4) and a fuel gas reservoir (5) and defines a main central axis (2). A body member (10) terminating in a soldering tool tip (11) forms a combustion chamber (18) within which a catalytic combustion element (19) is located for converting fuel gas/air mixture to heat for heating the soldering tool tip (11). The body member (10) is secured to the main housing (3) by a retaining member (12), a sub-housing (28) and a gland nut (14) which secures the retaining member (12) to a downstream end cap assembly (15) of the main housing (3). Fuel gas from the reservoir (5) is delivered to the combustion chamber (18) through a fuel gas supply system (39) which supplies the fuel gas to a temperature responsive valve (38) where the flow of fuel gas is modulated for maintaining the temperature of the soldering tool tip (11) substantially constant within a predetermined temperature range. The temperature responsive valve (38) comprises a circular bi-metal disc (59) which co-operates with a valving member (58) and a valve seat (57) for modulating the fuel gas supply in response to the temperature of the soldering tool tip (11). The temperature responsive valve (38) and a venturi mixer (41) are axially aligned with each other so that the soldering tool (1) can be provided in a compact slimline form.

    • A portable handheld vaporising device (1) comprises a housing (2) within which a vaporising chamber (7) is formed, wherein a liquid in a container (11) is vaporised to form an aerosol.
