摘要： Systems, methods, and devices for performing channel estimates to address the Doppler Effect in wireless communications are described herein. One aspect of the disclosure provides an apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus comprises a receiver configured to receive coded data tones during a first symbol over a communication channel. The apparatus further comprises a processor. The processor is configured to estimate a common phase offset and amplitude of the communication channel based on pilot tones received over the communication channel. The processor is configured to determine, prior to decoding, a residual phase offset per data tone based on a phase difference between an estimate of the coded data tones and a reference symbol. The processor is configured to estimate update channel state information of the communication channel based on the determined estimated common phase offset, amplitude, and the determined residual phase offset per data tone.

In some aspects, a signal (SIG) field in the preamble of a packet may indicate whether an extension field, such as an extension SIG field or SIG-B field, is included in the packet. In another aspect, one or more detectors may be used to auto-detect packets formatted as one of at least two different formats based on a short training field (STF) of a received packet. In some aspects, along training field (LTF) in the preamble of a packet may indicate whether the payload is repetition coded.

摘要： Systems, methods, and devices to enable range extension for wireless communication in sub-gigahertz bands are described herein. In some aspects, portions of packets are repeated in time and/or space when transmitting the packet in order to increase the chance that the packet can be decoded. The repetition of portions of the packet may be based, in part, on the channel characteristics of the channel over which the packet is sent. In some aspects, portions of packets are transmitted over a smaller bandwidth with increased power per frequency range.

摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for generating a unified format of channel state information (CSI) feedback for Very High Throughput (VHT) wireless systems. One example method generally includes generating, at a first apparatus, a frame comprising information relating to SNR if a second apparatus is communicating with the first apparatus using single-user MIMO (SU-MIMO) or multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) and transmitting a signal based on the generated frame to the second apparatus. Another example method generally includes generating, at an apparatus, a structure comprising CSI, wherein the CSI includes one of a first matrix with estimates of a channel associated with the apparatus or a second matrix obtained based on singular value decomposition (SVD) of the first matrix and wherein the structure further comprises an indication of which of the first and second matrices is included in the CSI; and transmitting the structure over the channel.

摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for using channel state information (CSI) feedback for multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) transmission. For certain aspects, a method of wireless communications generally includes generating a training frame and transmitting the generated training frame. The training frame typically includes first information identifying a group of one or more apparatuses and second information indicating whether each of the apparatuses in the group is to determine at least one characteristic of a channel. For other aspects, a method of wireless communications generally includes receiving a request at an apparatus and transmitting, in response to the received request, a packet using frame aggregation, wherein two or more frames are transmitted in a single transmission using a single header.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for network setup in wide channel WLANs are provided. Techniques for co-existence of 20 MHz and 40 MHz networks (e.g., as defined by IEEE 802.11n) may be extended to 80 MHz and 160 MHz networks. For example, a primary channel of an existing network may be designated as the primary channel of a new network. Further, a primary channel of the existing network may not be used as a secondary channel in the new network. Intolerance operation between networks may include a first network releasing one or more channels in response to an intolerance indication received from a second network. Furthermore, in response to the intolerance indication from the second network, the first network may utilize one or more channels for communicating in the first network using a first set of access parameters. The access parameters may depend on the intolerance indication.

Multiple mechanisms are supported for protecting MU transmissions, wherein appropriate control messages can be exchanged between an access point and served user stations before transmitting downlink data packets.
