摘要： A non-reactive monomer mixture contains a monomer component and a diaryl carbonate dispersed in the mixture. The monomer component includes one or more monomer compounds having a melting point below the melting point of the diaryl carbonate. The monomer component has less than 600 ppb alkali metal, an acid stabilizer, or both less than 600 ppb alkali metal and an acid stabilizer. The monomer compounds of the monomer component and the diaryl carbonate are present in a mole ratio of from 0.9 to 1.1. The monomer mixture is at a temperature between the melting temperature of the lowest melting monomer compound and less than 5 °C above the melting point of the diaryl carbonate.

In one embodiment, a multiwall sheet comprises: greater than or equal to three polymer walls (2) (e.g., comprising a first outer layer, a second outer layer, and an inner layer), a transverse layer (4), and a liquid. The liquid is located in cells (16) formed by the transverse layer and the walls. The multiwall sheet has a first visible light transmission and a first direct solar transmission. A second multiwall sheet has the same materials and the same design as the multiwall sheet but with no liquid, and has a second vis.ible light transmission and a second direct solar transmission. The first visible light transmission is greater than the second visible light transmission and the first direct solar transmission is about 63% to about 70% as determined in accordance with ISO 9050.

摘要： A non-reactive monomer mixture is formed from a dihydroxy component having one or more dihydroxy compounds dissolved in a melted diaryl carbonate. The dihydroxy component has one or more dihydroxy compounds with a melting point above the melting point of the diaryl carbonate. The non-reactive monomer mixture can be stored and transported and then polymerized to form polycarbonate upon addition of a catalyst.
