摘要： An unlicensed spectrum usage monitoring and reporting method is disclosed. The unlicensed spectrum usage monitoring and reporting method employs a new logical entity in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) enhanced Node B (eNB) as well as a dedicated interface between the eNB and the Policy and Charging Enforcement Function (PCEF). The method employs a diameter-based protocol for communication between the eNB and the PCEF, and defines several new Attribute-Pair Values (AVPs) and message commands to enable exchange of unlicensed spectrum usage information for User Equipment (UE) operating in the LTE network.

摘要： Embodiments of a station (STA), an access point (AP) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The AP may select a back-off counter value to be used for contention-based access to a channel in unlicensed spectrum. The AP may monitor the channel to determine whether the channel is idle during a back-off period. A duration of the back-off period may be based on the back-off counter value. The AP may, if it is determined that the channel is idle during the back-οff period, transmit a co-existence reference signal (CRS) during a slot of an active collision resolution (ACR) period to indicate: that the AP determined that the channel was idle during the back-off period, and an intention of the AP to obtain exclusive access to the channel during a data transmission (DT) period after the ACR period.

摘要： A technology that is operable to release a licensed shared access (LSA) spectrum allocation in a communications network is disclosed. In one embodiment, an evolved node B (eNode B) is configured with circuitry configured to receive, from a spectrum release module located in an evolved packet core (EPC) of the communications network, a spectrum release message requesting the eNode B release one or more selected segments of an LSA spectrum. LSA spectrum release parameters are evaluated for releasing the one or more selected segments of the LSA spectrum. A LSA spectrum release schedule is determined based on the LSA spectrum release parameters. Selected secondary cells (SCells) are deactivated in the communications network based on the LSA spectrum release schedule to release the one or more selected segments of the LSA spectrum.

An eNB may include a transceiver to: receive an indication from a User Equipment (UE) indicating that the UE is capable of detecting radar, send instructions to the UE to detect radar on a channel of an unlicensed band, the instructions including a scheduling information element and a measurement information element, and receive a notification of radar on the channel of the unlicensed band from the UE. The eNB may include a processor to: determine whether the radar was previously detected by the eNB on the channel of the unlicensed band, and in response to determining that the radar was previously undetected, detect radar on the channel of the unlicensed band.

摘要： Technology for efficiently splitting a bearer at the packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer for uplink (UL) data transfers in wireless networks where dual connectivity is available is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can send buffer status reports (BSRs) to a master evolved node B (MeNB) and a secondary evolved node B (SeNB). The BSRs can be formatted such that the amount of data in a radio link control (RLC) buffer at the UE and the amount of data in a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) buffer at the UE are contained in different fields. The BSRs can also contain redundancy indicator (RI) values specifying a redundancy level between the PDCP buffer amounts included in the BSRS. The MeNB and the SeNB may then coordinate, via an X2 interface, an amount of uplink (UL) resources to allocate to the UE.
