    • The present invention refers to a sole structure for a ventilated footwear item formed by a box-like sole (1) comprising a peripheral edge (5) in which there is provided at least one aperture (4, 6); the box-like sole (1) comprises: - a box-like midsole (2) associable to an upper and provided with the peripheral edge (5) and a plurality of channels (3) communicating with the aperture (4, 6); - a reinforcement member (7) associable to the box-like midsole (2) and comprising at least one protruding element (8, 10) protruding towards the peripheral edge (5); the protruding element (8, 10) is provided with an aperture (9, 11) that substantially faces the aperture (4, 6) of the peripheral edge (5) when the reinforcement member (7) is mounted to the midsole (2); - a transpiring and impermeable membrane (13) interposed between the midsole (2) and the reinforcement member (7) and located at the respective apertures (4, 6; 9, 11); - an outsole (15) provided with a tread (16) and at least partially wrapping around the peripheral edge (5); the outsole (15) substantially overlaps the reinforcement member (7) leaving exposed the protruding element (8, 10).

    • The present invention relates to an UV absorbing polymer composition comprising effective amounts of (a1) a nanoparticulate oxide selected from oxides of the groups 4 and 12 of the periodic table, wherein the oxide is doped with In, Ga and/or Al, and (b1) a UV stabilizing/absorbing substance comprising a sterically hindered amine and/or a polymeric hydroxyphenyltriazine; or (a2) a nanoparticulate oxide selected from oxides of the groups 4 and 12, and (b2) a UV light stabilizing substance comprising a N-oxygen-substituted sterically hindered amine.
