    • The present invention relates to a crate used for the transportation of goods, such as those used in sea going containers, and to method of assembling such a crate. A crate is disclosed comprising a framework of demountable elements comprising at least two base panels (40), each being generally rectangular and having longer and shorter sides, at least four support members 2, each having first and second ends, at least eight connector members 4, each being located at an end of each support member, a plurality of upright posts (70,72), each adapted to be associated with a connector member 4 and a plurality of panels (110), each panel being adapted to be secured to two of the posts (70,72), at least one of the panels (110) being adapted during use of the crate to be demountable from the framework. This construction allows both for space efficient storage of the component parts when not is use, but also flexibility in the dimensions and accessibility of the crate when constructed.

    • The invention is directed to enzymes having a glycosidase activity, including thermostable and thermotolerant glycosidase activity, and polynucleotides encoding these enzymes, and making and using these polynucleotides and polypeptides. The glycosidase activities of the enzymes of the invention include the hydrolysis of any glycosidic linkages. For example, a glycosidase activity of an enzyme of the invention includes hydrolysis of a beta-anomeric configuration of a glycosidic linkage, such as the hydrolysis of beta-glucosides, beta-fucosides and beta-galactosides. Another glycosidase activity of an enzyme of the invention includes alpha-galactosidase activity, e.g., catalysis of the hydrolysis of galactose groups on a polysaccharide backbone or catalyzing the hydrolysis of the cleavage of di- or oligosaccharides comprising galactose. Another glycosidase activity of an enzyme of the invention includes catalysis of the hydrolysis of mannose groups internally on a polysaccharide backbone or hydrolysis of the cleavage of di-or oligosaccharides comprising mannose groups. Beta-mannosidases of the invention can hydrolyze non-reducing, terminal mannose residues on a mannose-containing polysaccharide and catalyze the cleavage of di- or oligosaccharides comprising mannose groups.

    • A guard for a cannula (12) is characterized by an outer tubular sheath (22) slidably disposed about the cannula. The tubular sheath (22) includes first engagement tabs (32) to engage the cannula (12) and facilitate insertion of the cannula (12) into a patient. The first engagement tabs (32) are preferably demountable from the sheath (22) to facilitate ease of disposal of the used components.
