    • A gas spring piston (106) includes a piston body (140) with an end wall (152) and a side wall (142) that projects longitudinally from the end wall (152). The side wall (142) includes an outer surface (162) and a retainment ridge (166) spaced longitudinally from the end wall (152) such that the outer surface (162) is disposed between the retainment ridge (166) and the end wall (152). The retainment ridge (166) projects radially- outwardly beyond the outer surface (162) such that a shoulder surface (170) is formed adjacent the outer surface (162). The outer surface (162) includes an engagement feature (180) that is dimensioned to compressively engage an associated flexible wall (116). The engagement feature (180) is positioned along the outer surface (162) in spaced relation to the end wall (152) and the shoulder surface (170) of the retainment ridge (166). A gas spring assembly and a method of assembling (100) a gas spring that include such a gas spring piston (106) are also disclosed.
