摘要： A headgear for use with a patient interface for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes at least a strap (741) adapted to position the patient interface in sealing engagement with the patient's airways. The strap is constructed from an elastomer and a first side of the strap includes a first region (215) on a portion of its surface that is textured to reduce friction with objects contacting the strap. A textured surface coating for a portion of an elastomer strap included in a headgear system is adapted to contact the skin of a patient, when in use, and the coating has a Ra value greater than zero. A vent (500) for use with a patient interface for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a plurality of rises (580) and runs (570) in a stepped arrangement; and a plurality of holes (510) in the stepped arrangement for the venting of gas.

摘要： A humidifier (14) for humidifying a flow of breathable gas to be delivered to a patient includes a chamber (16) configured to receive the flow of breathable gas; a tub (20) configured to contain a supply of water, the tub being configured to be inserted into the chamber; a lid (18) provided on the chamber and being movable between an open position and a closed position; and a seal (19) provided on the lid, the seal being configured to seal the chamber such that the flow of breathable gas pressurizes the chamber. The humidifier may be connectable to a flow generator (12) configured to generate the flow of breathable gas. A tube for delivering the humidified flow may be connected to the humidifier. The tube may be a heated or non-heated tube. A respiratory apparatus for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient may include the humidifier and the flow generator and/or the tube. A method of humidifying a flow of breathable gas comprises sealing a chamber containing a supplying a water and pressurizing the chamber by directing the flow of breathable gas into the chamber.

摘要： A patient interface system for delivery of a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airways for treatment of sleep disordered breathing includes an air delivery tube (16) connected to a flexible portion of a plenum; a vent structure having sufficient rigidity to support its own weight under gravity and/or not to block or fold under tube movement or tube drag; and a patient interface structure (32). The patient interface structure (32) includes a seal forming structure arranged on a top portion of the plenum; and a seal positioning and stabilizing structure (36) connected to a flexible portion of the plenum. The seal-forming structure is substantially decoupled from a tube drag force. A nasal pillow for delivery of a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airways for treatment of sleep disordered breathing. A stalk; a frusto-conical portion connected to the stalk at a base portion of the frusto- conical portion; a spring structure at base of the frusto-conical portion configured to engage the top lip of the patient and rotate the stalk away from the patient's top lip. A patient interface system for delivery of a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airways for treatment of sleep disordered breathing. A flexible base portion; a seal-forming structure connected to base portion; and lateral connectors connected to the flexible base portion; lateral connectors connected to the flexible base portion substantially in a same plane as a base of the seal-forming structure; the flexible side-walled plenum consists of an orifice adapted to receive the supply of air and having an axis substantially parallel to an axis of the seal-forming structure. A decoupling assembly for decoupling forces applied by a tube on a patient interface structure configured to deliver of a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airway. The decoupling assembly consists of the flexible base portion, the seal-forming structure and at least one of a portion of the seal positioning and stabilizing structure, a swivel elbow, a ball and socket, a swivel sealing ring and the tube. A seal positioning and stabilizing structure for a patient interface system for delivery of a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airways for treatment of sleep disordered breathing. A flexible moulded strap consists of a stiffened portion.
