摘要： A device for sorting and handling hooks in long lines, comprising a closed channel (2) through which the main line (3) of the long line with its hook leaders (4) and hooks (5) secured thereto is pulled up to a guide member (13) positioned at the end of the channel. The guide member is curved transversely and has a transverse edge (16) which faces the outlet end of the channel (2) and which serves to catch hooks (5) facing in one direction and turn them over, whereupon the hooks are pulled through a gap (15) defined between the guide member (13) and the base and moved up onto a guide rail (18) transferring the hooks to a magazine for storage.

摘要： An apparatus for baiting long lines (3) comprising a container (1) holding water (5) mixed with bait (6). The container (1) is provided at its bottom with guide rollers (12, 13) designed to conduct a long line (3) introduced into the container at the top thereof downwards and through the mixture of water (5) and bait (6). A first baffle (17) is provided in the container and extends essentially in the direction of advancement of the long line (3). The baffle (17) may be set in different angular positions relative to the interior end wall (18) of the container (1) to form a baiting zone (19) through which the long line (3) is made to pass. A second baffle (20) behind the first baffle (17) may be adjusted into different positions of inclination relative to the first baffle (17) to guide the flow of water (5) and bait (6) downwards behind the first baffle (17).
