    • A dual clutch transmission for use in a motor vehicle having an engine (12) and a driveline includes an output shaft (34) adapted for connection to the driveline and a planetary gearset (33) in constant driving engagement with the output shaft. An input shaft (20) is driven by the engine. A first constant mesh gearset (74) is in selective driving communication with a first member of the planetary gearset. A second constant mesh gearset (76) is in selective driving communication with a second member of the planetary gearset. A first clutch (14) is operable for establishing a releasable drive connection between the input shaft and first constant mesh gearset. A second clutch (16) is operable for establishing a releasable drive connection between the input shaft and the second constant mesh gearset. A motor (200) is selectively drivingly coupled to a third member of the planetary gearset.

    • An automated dual-clutch multi-speed transmission (10) is adapted to transfer power from an engine (12) to the driveline of a motor vehicle. The transmission includes an output shaft (32) adapted for connection to the driveline, an input shaft (20) continuously driven by the engine and offset from a position substantially parallel to the output shaft. A countershaft (26) is in constant driving engagement with the output shaft and is offset from and positioned substantially parallel to the input and output shafts. A first clutch (14) is operable for establishing a releasable drive connection between the input shaft and a first driven shaft (22). A second clutch (16) is operable for establishing a releasable drive connection between the input shaft and a second driven shaft (28). First and second gearset clutches (130, 132) are operable to releasably drivingly couple first and second gearsets (70, 76) to the countershaft.

    • The liquid concentrator has a vacuum vessel or chamber (1) in which a required vacuum is established. Within the common vessel or chamber (1) are provided concentrator components including a feed section (2), an evaporation plus condensing/section (3), a separation area (4), a baffle arrangement (5) and a vapour compressor (6). A seal (8) may be provided for the connection between the compressor (6) and a motor (7) mounted externally of the vessel or chamber (1). In another embodiment the motor (7) may also be mounted within the vessel or chamber (1).The invention avoids the cost and complexity of providing separate vacuum seals for each of the concentrator components.
