    • The invention relates to a transmission unit (1) for drive units used to achieve at least two operational states: a first operational state for the transmission of power with at least two gear steps, and a second operational state for braking. The transmission unit comprises an input shaft (E) and an output shaft (A); a first, hydraulic transmission part (2); and a second mechanical transmission part (3), with the two parts being arranged in series. The hydraulic part (2) comprises at least two blade wheels (a primary blade wheel (4) and a secondary blade wheel (5)), which together form at least one toroid operating space (6) which can be filled with operating fluid. The two blade wheels (4, 5) are coupled to the input shaft (E) of the transmission unit and to the mechanical part (3) via at least part of the first operational state in such a way that power is transmitted from the primary blade wheel (4) to the mechanical part (3) via the secondary blade wheel (5). The invention is characterized in that elements (PK, PB) are included which, in a second operational state, hold and support the first (4) of the two blade wheels (4, 5) in relation to the fixed transmission parts (9) and connect the other, secondary blade wheel (5) with the second mechanical transmission part (3).

    • The invention concerns a continously variable hydrostatic power-split transmission with at least two operating ranges between which it is switched by shift elements, with a first, mechanical, part (II) which includes a planetary differential gear (13) and with a second, hydrolastic, part (I) which includes two power-linked adjustable hydraulic units (H1, H2) which can be operated in both directions either as a pump or as a motor and which are coupled to the mechanical part (II). The ring gear (19) used to control the direction and speed of rotation of the gear box output shaft (12) in the individual operating ranges is coupled to a first hydraulic unit (H1). In the first operating range, the second hydraulic unit (H2) drives through a gear-shift element (K1, K2) to the output shaft (12).
