    • A system and associated method for securing communication between a first device and a second device are provided. The system includes a first device communicatively coupled with a second device over a communication connection line. The system includes a security transformation device coupled to the communication connection line. The security transformation device is configured to transform non-secure communication into secure communication to send over the communication connection line to a destination. The security transformation device is configured to evaluate communication using security evaluation functionality by either authenticating or failing to authenticate the communication. If the communication is successfully authenticated, then the communication is provided to a destination, otherwise, the communication is not provided to the destination.

    • A lubricant assembly that is configured as part of a lubricating system that flings, or slings, fluid lubricants about the interior of compressors. In one embodiment, the lubricant assembly includes a lubricant guide member with a body member that has a pair of peripheral side members with angled surfaces. The construction is amenable to more consistent fabrication constraints (e.g., tolerances), as well as to offer features that can improve operation of the lubricating system, e.g., as operative in the compressors. In use, the lubricant guide member is disposed transverse to a longitudinal axis of a shaft that is configured to rotate a slinger member to fling the lubricant. This configuration captures lubricant that falls downwardly from other parts of the compressors. The angled surfaces of the side members direct this captured lubricant toward the shaft, and other rotating components, of the lubricating system.

The embodiments can include a housing (354) with a piston chamber (374) and a spool member (362) that transits in the housing to regulate the flow of a working fluid to a cylinder. The embodiments can also have one or more pilot operators (378, 380) that regulate the flow of pilot air into the piston chamber to move the spool member between two positions, i.e., two open positions. The embodiments can also have a manual operator (e.g., a lever (350) ) that can move the spool to the open positions and to a closed position. In one embodiment, the spool member is configured to remain in either a first position, a second position, or a third position in the absence of an outside stimulus on the pilot operators.

    • An alignment mechanism (100) is used for assembly of a diffuser (22) inside a pressure reducing and conditioning valve (20), said valve having a body (23), an inlet port (21), an outlet port (24), a pressure reducing section (40) between the ports, and a diffuser (30) in an internal cavity (42) of the pressure reducing section. The alignment mechanism (100) comprises at least one alignment assembly having an alignment port (110) disposed in the valve body (23) in the pressure reducing section (40). The port has a passageway (130) passing through an outer wall (123) of the valve, and has a removable closure member (150) adapted to close one end of the passageway. A removable alignment rod (170) is adapted to be inserted through the passageway (130) in the alignment port to contact an outer surface (31) of the diffuser (30) when the diffuser is inserted into the internal cavity (42) of the pressure reducing section (40) of the valve. A method of use (500) of the alignment assembly (100) is disclosed.

    • A trim assembly is provided with a cage with an internal surface and a cage port. A plug having an external surface is disposed in the cage and is operable between a closed position, a pressure balancing position and an open position. The trim assembly also includes a low friction flow restrictor disposed between the cage and the plug and a pressure energized seal disposed between the cage and the plug.
