摘要： A rotary dryer can include a screen that is divided into different portions joined together to form the screen structure. The screen portions can be joined together using one or more quick release latches. Each latch can provide a locking connection between the different screen portions. The latch can be unlocked, e.g., using hand pressure, to disconnect one screen portion from an adjacent screen portion. This can allow quick replacement of one or both screen portions with replacement screen portion(s). The latch may include a latch body and a latch rod. The latch rod may be rotatably connected to the latch body. The latch rod can be connected to one screen portion and the latch body connected to another screen portion. The latch body can rotate around the rotatable connection, causing the screen portions to be pulled together for subsequent use of the screen structure.

摘要： The present invention provides a compressible printing sleeve carrier for use in offset lithography which is formed from a composite fiber-reinforced compressible polymer. The printing sleeve carrier is formed by coating reinforcing filaments (22) with a compressible polymer (28) and winding the filaments around a mandrel (26) to form a hollow cylindrical base, where the first portion of the base adjacent the inner surface contains the wound reinforcing filaments coated with the compressible polymer and the second portion of the base adjacent the outer surface contains the compressible polymer.

摘要： A printing blanket construction (Ib) is provided which includes a reinforcing fabric ply (14) comprised of a weft insertion fabric or a heavy gauge fabric, where the reinforcing fabric ply provides all of the necessary tensioning properties to the blanket. The use of the reinforcing fabric ply eliminates the need for additional fabric plies in the blanket construction, and provides high tensile strength, low stretch, and resistance to gauge loss.

摘要： A printing blanket is provided which resists gauge loss throughout its useful life when subjected to printing nip pressures. The printing blanket includes a printing surface layer and at least one fabric ply. The fabric ply is treated by impregnation with a 100 % solids elastomeric urethane compound which penetrates the air spaces of individual fiber bundles in the fabric ply and fixes the individual fibers in the ply from relative movement so that that the blanket is resistant to permanent deformation. The blanket including the treated fabric ply retains at least 95% of its original gauge throughout its useful life.

摘要： A rotary anvil (100) is outfitted with pins (112) protruding from the base of an axially extending channel (106) along the surface of the anvil. A cutting mat (120) having a generally elongate body (122) includes first and second locking members (132, 134) projecting from opposite axial ends thereof. The cutting mat is installed on the anvil such that the first and second locking members are positioned within the channel over one of the pins. The cutting mat may include a foot (136) extending from the first locking member that includes a pin receptacle (140) that seats down over the pin. 摘要： A printing blanket sleeve is provided having two separable sections including a carcass sleeve and a face sleeve. The face sleeve is mounted over the carcass sleeve such that, when the printing blanket sleeve is installed on a blanket cylinder, the carcass sleeve and the face sleeve form an integral unit in use. The printing blanket sleeve is provided in separable sections so that the printing surface may be replaced in a manner wherein the carcass sleeve, including preferably at least some portion of the inner layers, can be reused with new printing surfaces. Further, the printing blanket sleeve is arranged such that the user of the printing blanket sleeve can change the printing surface of the printing blanket sleeve on-site so that there is no longer a need to discard the entire printing blanket sleeve, or alternatively send the printing blanket sleeve back to the manufacturer to be reconditioned.

摘要： A slurry dividing apparatus is configured to divide a main slurry stream into smaller constituent slurry streams, wherein each stream contains a desired proportion of suspended solids. The dividing apparatus includes a main flow channel and a plurality of branch flow channels extending upward from a flow divider that terminates an upper end of the main flow channel. The main slurry stream enters the main flow channel, at an inlet opening thereof, and is decelerated, by an upward extension and expanding cross-section of the main flow channel, before reaching the flow divider and being divided into the smaller constituent slurry streams flowing within the plurality of branch flow channels. Each of the smaller streams flows up and then over a weir, which extends across an upper portion of each of the branch flow channels, and then down into a corresponding discharge flow channel of the apparatus.
