摘要： Method, system and computer program product for verification of jewelry items through comparison of images captured at different time intervals. The captured images show the images of gem holders which enable one or more gemstones to be held on the jewelry item. The images are stored in a database and compared to verify a change in the settings of the gem holders. A change in the metal part or the gemstones is detected based on the change in the settings of the gem holders and/or the difference of images. The valuation of the jewelry is determined to be changed on the basis of change in the metal part or the gemstones. The invention further allows displaying, evaluating, comparing and selling the jewelry item through an online commerce platform connected to the database.

摘要： This research project represents a very unique way of performing investment analysis. The idea is to identify different types of market, financial, geo-political, social and economic events that could help identify the reasons behind speculations that lead to stock market fluctuations. The proposed framework is broken down into 3 phases. The first phase is responsible for data extraction from e-newspapers likes the economic times and business insider using information extraction techniques of web scraping, crawling and harvesting. It then involves knowledge representation and reasoning using methods like bag-of-words and TF-IDFs to store semantic data. The second phase is responsible for event detection using Topic Modeling algorithms like Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) & Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and Entity Extraction and Chunking methods like Name Entity Recognition (NER). It then involves correlation and causation analytics to identify trends among events and stock markets by focusing on company portfolios. The third phase is real time visualization using interactive graphs that demonstrates the effects of trending events on stock markets.

摘要： A method of dewatering algae and recycling water therefrom is presented. A method of dewatering a wet algal cell culture includes removing liquid from an algal cell culture to obtain a wet algal biomass having a lower liquid content than the algal cell culture. At least a portion of the liquid removed from the algal cell culture is recycled for use in a different algal cell culture. The method includes adding a water miscible solvent set to the wet algal biomass and waiting an amount of time to permit algal cells of the algal biomass to gather and isolating at least a portion of the gathered algal cells from at least a portion of the solvent set and liquid of the wet algal biomass so that a dewatered algal biomass is generated. The dewatered algal biomass can be used to generated algal products such as biofuels and nutraceuticals.

摘要： The present disclosure is directed at methods, systems and techniques for desalinating saltwater while generating electricity. A reverse electrodialysis (RED) stack is used to generate electricity, and the generated electricity is used to desalinate saltwater in an electrodialysis reversal (EDR) stack. As the RED stack relies on a concentration difference between two ionic fluids to generate electricity, a desalination plant that incorporates the RED and EDR stacks as described herein is referred to as a concentration difference energy plant. Brine discharge from a first desalination plant, such as a reverse osmosis plant, can be partially desalinated by the concentration difference energy plant, and the partially desalinated brine may optionally be returned to the first desalination plant for further desalination. This can result in several benefits. For example, the concentration difference energy plant can remove larger ionic species, which if not removed could cause scaling in the first desalination plant.

摘要： An exemplary method of dynamically adjusting an amount of noise reduction applied in an auditory prosthesis system includes dividing an audio signal presented to a patient into a plurality of analysis channels each containing a signal representative of a distinct frequency portion of the audio signal, determining an overall noise level of the signals within the analysis channels, and dynamically adjusting an amount of noise reduction applied to the signals within the analysis channels in accordance with the determined overall noise level. The dynamic adjustment of noise reduction is configured to minimize the amount of noise reduction applied to the signals within the analysis channels if the overall noise level is less than a predetermined minimum threshold. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.
