    • In a method for buffering products (P), such as bottles, cans and pots, wherein the products are carried upwards on a moving, inclined first conveying surface (7) at a first flow rate. The products on said conveying surface can accumulate against a guide member (11) at the upper end, after which the products are guided from the guide member onto a second conveying surface (8), on which they are conveyed onwards at a second flow rate. The first conveying surface (7) is disposed at an such angle and is provided with such a surface condition that the dragging force exerted on the products from the first conveying surface is just a little greater than the force of gravity being exerted on the products in the direction along the conveying surface. As a result, products (P) can be buffered in a simple manner, whilst the products exert only little pressure on each other.

    • A conveyor for conveying products in vertical direction comprises a frame (1) and a drivable conveyor belt (8) being supported by the frame and following a helical track in a direction of conveyance about a central centreline (2a). The conveyor belt is provided with slats (9) which are movable with respect to each other and have a support face at their upper sides. Inner rollers (14) and outer rollers (15) are present at the lower side of the conveyor belt, which rollers are rotatable about inner axes of rotation (16) and outer axes of rotation (17), respectively, which are angled with respect to the support face and wherein the outer rollers are located at a larger distance from the central centreline than the inner rollers. The frame is provided with a first guide face(18) for supporting the outer rollers in outward direction with respect to the central centreline which first guide face is radially directed in outward direction and with an upwardly directed second guide face(19) for supporting the conveyor belt in upward direction, which second guide face lies at a distance from the first guide face.

    • A conveyor for conveying piece goods through a helical path in upright direction comprises a frame and an endless conveyor belt having a conveying part guided in the helical path and a return path. The conveyor belt includes substantially rigid support members movably coupled to each other and having an upper transport face. The support members are coupled to each other at their adjacent edges and are also interconnected at their radially outer edge by means of a strengthening element extending in the conveying direction.     • A conveyor comprises a helical conveying path having an upright central axis, a frame and an endless conveying member for transporting a product through the conveying path which conveying member is displaceable with respect to the frame. In a central portion of the conveying path, as seen in radial direction from the central axis, the conveying member is provided with an upwardly directed supporting surface for supporting a product. The width of the supporting surface in radial direction from the central axis is smaller than 10% of the distance between the central axis and the supporting surface. At opposite sides of the supporting surface the conveying path is free from obstacles at the height level of the supporting surface. The conveyor is provided with a helical guide for guiding the conveying member along the guide.
