    • An optical multiplexer/demultiplexer comprising first through third lensed fibers (7a, 7b, 7c) produced by bonding optical fibers (2a, 2b, 2c) and graded index fibers (6a, 6b, 6c) together, an optical filter (11) for passing light ?1 in a first wavelength region, out of light exited from the first lensed fiber (7a), to allow it to enter the second lensed fiber (7b) and for reflecting light ?2 in a second wavelength region to allow it to enter the third lensed fiber (7c), and coreless fibers (3a, 3b, 3c) arranged between the optical filter and the first through third lensed fibers, respectively, and bonded to the graded index fibers of respective lensed fibers. Since the coreless fiber having a condensing function smaller than that of the graded index fiber is bonded to the end face of each lensed fiber in the optical multiplexer/demultiplexer, unnecessary scattering light striking on the surface of the optical filter or the like can be reduced.
