摘要： A method is provided for switching reels in a paper in a paper machine that includes apply an adhesive onto a continuously running paper web to begin a new paper roll and severing the continuous paper web from the tail end of the newly completed roll. The running paper web is supported by a reel drum and wound onto exchangeable reel shafts in contact with the reel drum in order to form rolls of paper. A hopper with a heater heats an adhesive agent to temporarily lower its viscosity and stickness for smooth and even applying. A pair of nozzles, mounted on a pair rodless cylinders and translating therewith, spray jets containing said adhesive onto the web and/or the reel shaft. The web is then advanced onto the reel shaft thereby forming an adhesive interface between the web and the shaft. Tension is applied across the adhesive interface to server the paper web at the adhesive interface, thereby separating the trailing end of the paper web of the previously completed roll from the current paper roll.

摘要： A dry end section for a paper-making machine for producing a high-bulk tissue is provided. Such a machine comprises a through-air dryer adapted to finally dry a paper web and a through-air drying fabric configured to transport the web through the through-air dryer. A separating device is included for facilitating separation of the web from the through-air drying fabric. A reel is also provided and is configured to receive the web thereon. The web is received directly on the separating device or on a fabric wrapped about the separating device. In some instances, the web may be compressed between the separating device and an adjacent roll or by a web-compressing device disposed along the fabric transporting the web. The web is then transported to the reel directly from the fabric or other support mechanism extending between the separating device and the reel, without free draw of the web. Associated methods are also provided.

摘要： A winding apparatus for winding a paper web (1), comprising a reel spool (3) onto which the web is wound to form a paper roll (4), a support member (2) forming a nip (5) with the paper roll, and an actuator (24) mounted at the support member or reel spool to control the distance therebetween. According to the invention the apparatus has a measuring and controlling equipment comprising a light-emitting member (6) to illuminate the paper roll by light providing a line (7) on the cylindrical surface (8) of the paper roll, a receptive system arranged to depict the line, and a control unit (10) connected to the receptive system and arranged to analyse the depicted line in order to calculate the distance between the paper roll and the support member and send a position-correcting signal to the actuator when the distance calculated deviates from a predetermined distance. The invention also relates to such a measuring and controlling equipment and a method for controlling the distance between the paper roll and the support member.
