    • The present disclosure provides junction bridging devices and related methods that apply loads across a junction between first and second biological segments. The devices include a first housing including internal threads and a first engagement surface, and a second housing including a second engagement surface. The first and second housings are axially translatable and rotationally fixed. The devices further include an externally threaded barrel axially fixed and rotational coupled to the second housing, the external threads being engaged with the internal threads of the first housing. The devices also include an inner sleeve rotationally fixed within the second housing, and a power spring coupled to the barrel and the inner sleeve. The power spring exerts a preloaded torque to the barrel to effectuate axial rotation of the barrel with respect to the first housing that axially translates the first housing away from the second housing.

    • Cymbal mounting apparatuses, systems and methods are provided. In one embodiment, a cymbal mounting apparatus for mounting a cymbal to a mounting post of a cymbal stand is provided. The apparatus comprises a cymbal mount that comprises an elongated flexible sleeve portion defining an inner cavity with a second diameter that is less than a first diameter of the mounting post such that the sleeve portion applies a compressive force thereto when installed thereon. The cymbal mount further comprises a cymbal support rim portion extend outwardly from the sleeve portion. The sleeve portion and the rim portion may be integral. The mounting post may define a first length extending between a shoulder portion and a free end thereof, and the sleeve portion may define a second length that is at least one half the first length such that the sleeve portions extends past the free end when installed thereon.

    • The present disclosure provides dynamic cranial fixation devices and related methods for attaching a resected bone portion(s), or a bone flap, to the skull in such a manner that allows for brain swelling to occur with minimal constraint following a craniotomy or craniectomy. The present disclosure provides dynamic cranial fixation devices and related methods that provide outward movement of the bone flap as the brain swells underneath the bone flap to prevent or reduce a rise in the intracranial pressure. Once the brain swelling resolves, the dynamic cranial fixation devices and related methods of the present disclosure allow the bone flap to return to its original position (before resection) without further surgery, implantation or the like. Once the bone flap return to its original position (or substantially similar position), the bone flap may fuse with the neighboring bone(s), potentially with the assistance of one or more fusion aid.
