    • A multi-mode viterbi decoder supporting different decoding modes. The viterbi decoder comprises circuitry to output one or more data symbol values. The circuitry sets the one or more data symbol values to a first quantity of unit intervals in a first decoding mode (e.g. PAM-4). The circuitry sets the one or more data symbol values to a second quantity of unit intervals in a second decoding mode (e.g. NRZ). The second quantity of unit intervals is greater than the first quantity of unit intervals. A branch metric circuit is adapted to, in the first decoding mode, generate a set of viterbi branch metrics based on the data symbol values for the first quantity of unit intervals. The branch metric circuit is adapted to, in the second decoding mode, generate the set of viterbi branch metrics based on the data symbol values for the second quantity of unit intervals.

    • A set of computer storage devices containing transaction records having transaction information corresponding to a set of transactions for a set of IP assets will be queried. At least a subset of the transaction information will be extracted and the types of IP transactions will be determined. A first table will then be generated based on the extracted transaction information. The first table typically identifies each IP transaction and corresponding transaction information.     • A computer implemented method for data integration. An event relational database having a plurality of event frames related in a hierarchical structure is accessed. Each event frame representing a corresponding event within a corresponding timeframe. A graphical representation of the hierarchical structure of the event relational database is displayed in a graphical user interface. A user input is received selecting an event frame of the hierarchical structure from the graphical representation. A hierarchical search template is displayed based on the selected event frame of the hierarchical structure. The event relational database is searched with a search query corresponding to the hierarchical search template to identify one or more matching event frames of the hierarchical structure. The method also includes retrieving, from a time series database that includes time series data, a portion of the time series data corresponding to the one or more matching event frames.

    • A power converter with fast discharging to adapt to a load disconnect. The power converter comprises a magnetic component coupled between an input of the power converter and an output of the power converter. The magnetic component includes a primary winding and a secondary winding. A switch controls transfer of energy from the primary winding to the secondary winding according to on and off times of the switch. A discharge circuit is coupled to the output of the power converter. The discharge circuit is adapted to receive a signal indicative of whether the load is disconnected and to decrease an output voltage at the output of the power converter based on the signal indicative of whether the load is disconnected.

    • An approach for automatically generating reports in a networked computing environment is provided. Specifically, in a typical embodiment, a user will: designate and/or modify a report template; input a set of unique identifiers corresponding to a set of electronic documents (e.g., patent documents); optionally designate a hierarchy of the set of electronic documents; provide a set of input parameters for report content; and optionally provide any manually generated content. Thereafter, the electronic documents will be retrieved from a database or the like. Based on the input parameters, report content and/or report objects will be automatically generated from the electronic documents and populated into a report (using the template) along with the manually generated content provided by the user.
