摘要： A pad with a fiber reinforced silicone rubber material wherein the fiber reinforcement is of a weight of at least 100 grams per square meter, the pad having a thickness over a majority of the pad's surface area which between 0.5 and 4 millimeters thick wherein the pad is flexible and impervious to fluid and has sufficient surface tack to inhibit objects from sliding off the pad. The pad does not include metallic materials. The pad is manufactured by: providing a fiber reinforcement sheet and applying silicone to said fiber reinforcement sheet; curing the fiber reinforcement sheet with applied silicone to create a fiber reinforced silicone sheet which is impervious to fluid; cutting said fiber reinforced silicone sheet in a rectilinear pattern sized based on known cooktop dimensions; printing said fiber reinforced silicone sheet with an ink of a first color.

摘要： The invention produces a magnetic receptive polymer film with properties that will adhere to magnets by incorporating magnetic receptive particles in the formulation of the extruded or casted film. Furthermore, by use of the co-extrusion technique, the invention produce a print media in the form of a multilayered polymer film including a magnetic receptive core layer for adhering the film to magnets, and one or more layers attached to either one or both sides of the core layer, wherein at least one outermost surface of the layers is absent or substantially absent of ferromagnetic material and suitable to accept printing.

The insert may be formed by a blow-molding process. The insert is shaped to fit within a protective case, which is also often formed by a blow-molded process. The material used to form the insert is less dense than that of the material used to form the protective case, and therefore the insert material is less stiff, softer, and more flexible.
