    • A panel (24) intended for mounting within a vehicle having a panel securing clip (21) mounted thereon is disclosed. The panel mounted clip is intended to secure the panel to a frame (27). Preferably the panel (24) is a vehicle glazing, and the frame surrounds an aperture in a vehicle into which the glazing will be secured. The panel securing clip (21) comprises a base portion (22); a securing portion (28), joined to the base portion and adapted to be inserted into a hole (29) in a frame, and locking means (37) for holding the securing portion (28) in fixed relation to the base portion (22). The securing portion (28) is moveable between a first position, in which the panel securing clip (21) may be inserted into a frame, and a second position, where the securing portion is held in fixed relation to the base portion, and the panel securing clip-secures the panel to the frame. A method of inserting a panel into a frame is also disclosed.

    • A method of inspecting the fragmentation pattern of a single ply of toughened glass, following a fragmentation test carried out in accordance with ECE R43,is disclosed. The method comprises illuminating a first portion of the ply of glass in transmission using a strip light source located on a first side of the transparent support means. An image of the first portion of the ply of glass is captured using an image capture device located on a second side of the transparent support means, aligned with and fixed in a relative position to the strip light source. A series of images of the glass are collected and analysed to produce an image of the fragmentation pattern. Apparatus for carrying out such imaging is also disclosed.

    • A gravity bending mould for bending glass sheets is disclosed. The mould comprises a final mould having a final peripheral shaping rim and an intermediate mould having an intermediate peripheral shaping rim. The final mould has a final articulated end portion having a final movable shaping rail and is mounted at an end of the mould. The intermediate mould has an intermediate articulated end portion having an intermediate movable shaping rail an d is mounted at the end of the mould adjacent to the final articulated end portion. The final articulated end portion and the intermediate articulated end portion are arranged so that at least a portion of the final movable shaping rail is alignable with at least a portion of the intermediate movable shaping rail to form part of the intermediate peripheral shaping rim.     • A glazing inspection apparatus (50) for detecting edge faults in a ply of glass (51), and a method of inspection, is disclosed. The apparatus (50) comprises a light source (52) for illuminating a ply of glass (51), image capture means (55) for capturing images of the edge and the upper and lower surfaces, adjacent the edge, of the ply of glass and focusing means (56, 54, 57a, 57b) for focusing the images of the edge and the upper and lower surfaces, adjacent the edge, of the ply of glass (51) into the same focal plane. Preferably the focusing means comprises two triangular glass prisms (57a, 57b) located at one end of a parallelepiped glass block (5S), on opposite sides of the block (56). Alternatively, the focusing means may comprise the parallelepiped glass block and a pair of mirrors (see figure 6a).
