摘要： A unified coil assembly for magnetic resonance imaging is disclosed. The coil assembly includes an RF coil element and a shim coil array with a shim coil element. The shim coil element is physically separated or partially separated from the RF coil element. The shim coil element includes a DC current loop having a DC power supply connection to allow DC current to generate a local B0 magnetic field. The unified coil array assembly is configured to simultaneously provide an RF mode for at least one of transmit or receive and a direct current mode to generate a local B0 magnetic field for B0 shimming. Larger number of shim coils relative to the RF coil element provides superior shimming performance. The mutual inductance between the shim coil element and the RF coil element is minimized by proposed geometrical decoupling methods in order to minimize the RF interaction between the two.

摘要： A method and system of separating graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) from initial graphite raw material is disclosed. The raw material is exfoliated to create a percentage of separated GNPs in a resulting bulk mixture. Agglomerates between the separated graphene nanoplatelets are broken. The mixture is separated into fractions having nanoparticles of different GNP content and size distribution. Each different range of nanoparticles is separated into GNPs and graphite nanopowder via a medium flow process or via electrostatic separation or both.

摘要： An exterior lighting device based on a light emitting diode in conjunction with an optic fiber is disclosed. The device has a cylindrical housing having a closed end and an open end. The light emitting diode is placed on the interior of the on the closed end of the cylindrical housing. A clear lens having one end in proximity with the light emitting diode and an opposite end with a flat surface is provided. A top cap is installed over the open end of the cylindrical housing. The top cap forms a water tight seal with the cylindrical housing using O-rings. A retaining plate is held in place between the top cap and the cylindrical housing. The retaining plate is locked with the flat surface of the lens thus holding the lens in place over the light emitting diode. An optic fiber has a receiving end held by the retaining plate in proximity to the light emitting diode and an opposite emitting end extending from a socket in the top cap. A coupling assembly sits in the socket in the top cap and holds the optic fiber in relation to the top cap.

摘要： A method and system of sensitization of cancerous cells in a volume is disclosed. A plasma tube including a pair of electrodes coupled to a power supply is provided. The plasma tube generates a plasma jet between the electrodes. A controller is coupled to a power supply to control a discharge voltage to the electrodes to generate the plasma jet and direct an electro-magnetic field at the volume having cancerous cells and normal cells for a sufficient time to sensitize the cancer cells. A treatment device applies a treatment such as TMZ to the sensitized cancer cells after the cancer cells are sensitized by the electro-magnetic field.
