摘要： An intra-oral device for positioning oral tissues during medical treatment, for example, radiation treatment. The device includes upper and lower dental arch members configured to engage the maxillary and mandibular teeth or edentulous arch(es) of a patient, respectively. Moldable material is maintained within channels formed in the dental arch members by partially extruding the material through keyways formed in the arch members during the bite mold process. The upper and lower dental arch members are operatively coupled to provide a dental arch assembly. A protective element to displace or depress a patient's tongue is secured at a suitable working position with respect to the dental arch assembly via a threaded strut adjustably coupled between the protective element and a support structure disposed between the dental arch members.

摘要： A lighting device comprises an elongated assembly forming a water-tight chamber adjacent a first end of the lighting device, where the first end includes a transparent face along a long axis of the elongated assembly. A lighting module, having a first light source and a second light source positioned on opposite ends of the lighting module, is positioned within the water-tight chamber so that the first light source is adjacent to and is configured to project light out the transparent face in a first direction along the long axis of the elongated assembly. The second light source is configured to illuminate along an elongated portion of the elongated assembly, where the elongated portion extends from the water-tight chamber in a second direction along the long axis of the elongated assembly opposite from the first direction, and out translucent circumferential sides of the elongated portion. A button on the module allows one to selectively alternate between the first and second light sources.

The Zero Inflated Model is used to calculate the likelihood that the customer may have a non-zero demand for the product or service as a function of price. 摘要： A method and apparatus is described for the protection of data in a mass storage device used for gaming applications. The device works in conjunction with the industry-standard hard disk interface port commonly found on a personal computer motherboard, and an off-the-shelf standard mass storage device. During operation, the protection device intercepts each command packet sent to the storage device, and passes through only those commands which are approved for use. The device may answer certain commands on behalf of the storage device, to supply default responses to non-approved command requests. The device also responds to certain other commands on its own, providing a means of verifying its continued presence to defeat attempts to bypass or remove it. To defeat attempts to copy or mimic its operation, a standard cryptographic algorithm is implemented internally with a secret key, and the entire device is protected against data extraction that could reveal the key.

摘要： A gaming system, comprising a plurality of gaming machines operating over a network, includes a bonus server for providing a promotion implementing a mystery award. The method for delivering a mystery award to a player over the computer gaming network comprises determining an award is to be delivered. A group of players eligible for the determined award is selected and notified of their eligibility to win the award. A portion of the group is then eliminated, thereby resulting in remaining eligible members. The eliminated members are notified of their elimination and the remaining eligible members are again eliminated from eligibility in subsequent steps until one or more award winners are selected. The one or more award winners are awarded the mystery award, and the eliminated players can be awarded a celebration (e.g. consolation) prize.

摘要： In accordance with the present invention, there are provided methods for imparting abrasion wear resistant color to "gemstones" by providing an integrated coating consisting of the color imparting agent and the abrasion wear resistant agent. The color imparting agent may provide the perception of color via interference phenomena or via bulk absorption phenomena. Abrasion wear resistance may be provided by integrating any of the materials such as DLC (diamond-like carbon), CVD diamond (CVDD), alumina, polymer-based materials, nitrides and carbonitrides. Abrasion wear resistant properties of DLC or CVDD may be further improved, in addition to improvement of other mechanical properties and inducing hydrophobicity, by incorporating certain elements into the deposited film.
