    • A device (2) for securely anchoring a plant protection structure is provided wherein a support system includes an anchoring post and a support section. The anchoring post presents a post section and an anchor section (16), wherein each anchor section is configured to angle away from the longitudinal axis as the anchoring post receives a force that drives the anchor section into the ground. The anchoring post is topped by a support module that may include one or more arms (28A-28D) that support and/or help protect at least a portion of a plant or object. The arms are configurable to enable the device to help secure or protect plants or objects in a variety of embodiments as best suited to the needs of the object. The anchoring post may include solid or hollow continuous elongate elements (4A, 4B) that form both the post section and the anchor section.

    • A device is disclosed to improve the accuracy of a sport participant in the kicking or handling of a ball. A first version includes a ball attached by a tether to a vertical pole. The pole and tether limit the ball's freedom and allows the ball to rotate about the pole and return to a trainee after being struck by the trainee. A second version provides a frame mounted on the pole whereby the tether is attached to a top section of the pole. A third version includes a frame that rotates about the pole and may accept a plurality of tether attachments. Another version includes a single or double loop attached to the ball through which the tether extends. Yet another version includes a harness that encircles a ball. The ball may be a soccer ball, a baseball, a volleyball, an American football, a medicine ball or a basketball.

    • A data archive system and method are provided. A first version is a data archive connected to a high speed Ethernet link. The data archive includes a main central processing unit system coupled with both an Ethernet interface module and a communications switching circuit. A high speed communications bus communicatively couples the communications switching circuit with memory module managers. Each memory module manager includes a manager control module, a manager communications bus, and a plurality of paired memory module interfaces and solid state memory modules.     • A solid state memory disk drive device and system are provided.     • A method, system and machine-readable media that support the generation of electronically mediated performances are provided. In one version, a digitized audio and video record of a live performance by a musical artist may be transmitted via the Internet or other electronics communications network to one or more remote venue. At each participating venue the record is rendered to provide a performance experience. The record may optionally be downloaded to a computational system that remains the property of a third party and the intellectual property rights of the record are retained by the artist or as assigned by the artist. One or more venues may include digital recording equipment that generates a video and/or audio record of activity at the venue during the rendering of the performance. This record may be used to verify audience size estimation and revenue obligations of a venue operator or event producer.
