摘要： A LiDAR system includes a transmitter having a first and second laser emitter generating first and second optical beams and projecting the optical beams along a transmitter optical axis. A receiver includes an array of pixels positioned with respect to the receive optical axis such that light from the first optical beam reflected from an object forms a first image area and light from the second optical beam reflected by the object forms a second image area on the array of pixels such that an overlap region between the first image area and the second image area is formed based on a measurement range and on a relative position of the transmitter optical axis and the receive optical axis. A processor determines what pixels are in the overlap region from electrical signals generated by at least one pixel in the overlap region and generates a return pulse in response.

摘要： An electrodeless laser-driven light source includes a laser that generates a CW sustaining light. A pump laser generates pump light. A Q-switched laser crystal receives the pump light generated by the pump laser and generates pulsed laser light at an output in response to the generated pump light. A first optical element projects the pulsed laser light along a first axis to a breakdown region in a gas-filled bulb comprising an ionizing gas. A second optical element projects the CW sustaining light along a second axis to a CW plasma region in the gas-filled bulb comprising the ionizing gas. A detector detects plasma light generated by a CW plasma and generates a detection signal. A controller generates control signals that control the pump light to the Q-switched laser crystal so as to extinguish the pulsed laser light within a time delay after the detection signal exceeds a threshold level.

A processor is connected to the classical store and determines the first time based on the index.

摘要： An optical film for a back light unit that includes an array of light emitting diodes. The optical film includes a substrate, and a plurality of regions of spatially modulated microstructures on at least one side of the substrate. The spatially modulated microstructures have different sizes and/or shapes configured to create a gradient structure within each region. The gradient structure within each region is constructed and arranged to cause more spreading of light when positioned directly above an individual light emitting diode and less spreading of light at locations not directly above an individual light emitting diode. Within the back light unit, the gradient structure converts light beams emitted by the respective light emitting diode at different angles into a more uniform and higher on-axis luminance upon exiting the back light unit.

摘要： An apparatus for ligand binding of biological samples includes a bead well configured to confine a plurality of magnetic beads. A sample well comprises a filter bottom configured to contain samples of interest. A first magnetic bead picker captures magnetic beads from the bead well and releases the captured magnetic beads into the sample well. An incubator incubates the magnetic beads in the sample well binding the bait molecules to sample molecules contained in the sample of interest. A washer washes the incubated magnetic beads removing weakly bound sample molecules while retaining magnetic beads comprising strongly bound sample molecules. A second magnetic bead picker captures the magnetic beads comprising strongly bound sample molecules from the sample well and releases the captured magnetic beads comprising strongly bound samples onto a sample plate. A matrix material applicator deposits MALDI matrix material onto a surface of the sample plate. A MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer receives the sample plate with deposited MALDI matrix material and performs time-of-flight mass spectrometry on the strongly bound sample molecules, thereby generating mass spectra of the sample. A computer executes an algorithm using the mass spectra generated by the MALDI- TOF mass spectrometer to produce a ligand binding assay.

摘要： A carbonaceous fuel gasification system includes a micronized char preparation system comprising a transport reactor with a pulverizer function that receives solid carbonaceous fuel, hydrogen, oxygen, and fluidizing steam that produces micronized char, steam, and volatiles. An indirect gasifier includes a pressure vessel reactor comprising a dense bed of solids. A draft tube can be inside or outside the pressure vessel. A combustor provides heat for the gasification reaction by combustion of hydrogen and air and that provides products of combustion that flow through the draft tube. A distributor plate receives the micronized char, steam, and devolatilized hydrocarbons from the output of the micronized char preparation system. The indirect gasifier mixes the micronized char with steam at a temperature that converts them to syngas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide.

摘要： A method for configuring hardware-configured optical links includes generating a first optical signal comprising a slow scan of wavelength channels where the slow scan has a dwell time on a particular wavelength channel. A second optical signal is generated comprising a fast scan of wavelength channels, where the fast scan has a dwell time on a particular wavelength channel and a complete channel scan time where the slow scan dwell time is greater than or equal to complete channel scan time. The first optical signal is transmitted over a link and a portion is then detected. A pulse of light having a duration that is less than the dwell time on the particular wavelength channel of the fast scan is then detected. Client data traffic is then sent over the link in response to the detected pulse of light and the detected portion of the first optical signal.
