    • A powder injection method and a powder injection microchip, the powder injection microchip comprising: a gas supply inlet (6) for supplying gas; an outlet (8); a channel (4) in fluid connection with the gas supply inlet and the outlet; a powder inlet (12) in fluid connection with the channel, for receiving a first, open end of a powder reservoir (14), the powder reservoir having an opening (22) at or near to a second end of the powder reservoir to allow egress of gas from the powder reservoir at a point distal to the first end of the powder reservoir. The method comprises the steps of: i) supplying gas via the gas supply inlet (6) to the channel (4) and the powder inlet (12) at a velocity sufficient to cause fluidisation of powder at the powder inlet (12); (ii) reducing the supply of gas to cause powder to pass from the powder inlet and to collect in a region of the channel adjacent a point where the powder inlet connects with the channel; and (iii) repeating steps (i) and (ii) as many times as required, subsequent initialisation of step (i) causing the powder collected in the channel to be moved by the gas towards the outlet.

    • The details of an apparatus and method of handling simultaneous universal terrestrial radio access network radio resource control procedures are disclosed herein. According to one aspect of the present application, there is provided a user equipment apparatus having a message handler, a sequential processor, a command store, and a security configuration change detector, wherein said message handler is coupled to said command store, is coupled to said sequential processor, and is coupled to said security configuration change detector to save, process, and detect configuration changes in commands respectively, and to determine if there is an existing command at the user equipment, such that the user equipment appears to the UTRAN as though it were processing commands simultaneously. According to another aspect, there is provided a method of processing simultaneous commands at a user equipment having a security configuration, including the steps of: determining if there is an existing command at the user equipment; upon reception of a received command: suspending the existing command processing; determining if commands contain a security configuration change; and either rejecting the received command; or saving the received command prior to resuming the existing command; such that the user equipment appears to the UTRAN to be processing commands simultaneously.

    • There is provided a method for creating a voxel occupancy model. The voxel occupancy model is representative of a region of space which can be described using a three- dimensional voxel array. The region of space contains at least part of an object. The method comprises receiving first image data, the first image data being representative of a first view of the at least part of an object and comprising first image location data, and receiving second image data, the second image data being representative of a second view of the at least part of an object and comprising second image location data. The method also comprises determining a first descriptor, the first descriptor describing a property of a projection of a first voxel of the voxel array in the first image data, and determining a second descriptor, the second descriptor describing a property of a projection of the first voxel in the second image data. The method also comprises assigning an occupancy value to the first voxel based on the first and second descriptors, the occupancy value being representative of whether the first voxel is occupied by the at least part of an object.
