摘要： A system for providing a drug-eluting resorbable hydrogel for treating chronic pain, the system including carboxymethyl chitosan and oxidized carboxymethyl cellulose solutions, which together with one or more bioactive agents, can be mixed and delivered at the time of use in order to gel in situ within a joint space. Once delivered, the hydrogel can provide bioactive agents such as NSAIDs directly to the areas commonly associated with chronic pain, including to the spine, knee, shoulder, and elbow. The hydrogel is substantially non-inflammatory, and substantially biodegradable over time, to provide prolonged drug release.
