摘要： A method of optimizing pre-operative procedures in the field of neurosurgery. The method facilitates the identification of essential fiber tract pathways that must be avoided when planning and performing an operation, thereby increasing surgical safety and avoiding complications. The method includes the combined use of four variables in Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI)-Fiber Tracking (FT) of projection fibers in the brain. These variables include Jain-Brem™ fractional anisotropy constant for tractography (JB-FACT), Jain-Brem™ fiber length (JB-FL), subcentimeter size placement of regions of interest (ROI), and the placement of ROIs to cover the anatomical pathway of projection fibers. JB-FACT and JB-FL provide rapid, reproducible tracking for projection fibers in the brain.

摘要： A method, device and system for limiting mobile device functionality in a vehicle. When a vehicle is in motion, a motion detector initiates a signal generator, which transmits a disabling signal that is received and processed by software residing on a mobile device. Upon receipt and validation of the disabling signal, the software will alter the mobile device's system configuration to, for example, remove the ability of the mobile device to respond to typing and other touch screen functions and to send and/or receive text and/or e-mail messages for as long as the disabling signal is transmitted. Once the motion detector detects that the vehicle is no longer in motion, the signal generator ceases transmission of the disabling signal. After a predetermined time of not receiving a disabling signal, the software restores the mobile device's system configuration to its original configuration.

摘要： The method includes the steps of obtaining atlas data in an atlas coordinate set from a computer-readable atlas of musculoskeletal structure. The atlas contains a data set representing a 3D model of musculoskeletal structure divided into the relevant musculoskeletal anatomic terminology. The method further includes obtaining patient data. The patient data is in a patient coordinate set that corresponds to obtained atlas data in the atlas coordinate set. The atlas data is then morphed using a first morphing transformation between the obtained patient data in the patient coordinate set and corresponding obtained atlas data in the atlas coordinate set. The image of the patient coordinate set with the morphed atlas data is then displayed.
