    • The present invention relates to a fume extraction and/ or filtration hood (1), in particular for a domestic kitchen, comprising: - a chimney (10) having a hollow interior and comprising lateral walls (11), a back wall (12) and a front wall; - an inlet section (20) through which fumes flow into said chimney (10); - a motor fan (30) accommodated in said chimney (10) opposite to said inlet section (20); - an extraction volume (40) placed between said lateral walls (11) and said motor fan (30), said lateral walls (11) and said extraction volume (40) being substantially symmetrical with respect to a common plane of symmetry (PS).
