摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide a class of mesophase separated propylene/α-olefin block interpolymers with controlled block sequences. The propylene/α-olefin interpolymers are characterized by an average block index, ABI, which is greater than zero and up to about 1.0 and a molecular weight distribution, M w /M n , greater than about 1.4. Preferably, the block index is from about 0.2 to about 1. In addition or alternatively, the block propylene/α-olefin interpolymer is characterized by having at least one fraction obtained by Temperature Rising Elution Fractionation ("TREF"), wherein the fraction has a block index greater than about 0.3 and up to about 1.0 and the propylene/α-olefin interpolymer has a molecular weight distribution, M w /M n , greater than about 1.4.

摘要： Disclosed herein are microporous films comprising polymer blends comprising at least two polymers and a compatibilizer. The films may also comprise at least one ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer and two different polyolefins which can be homopolymers. The ethylene/?-olefin interpolymers are block copolymers comprising at least a hard block and at least a soft block. In some embodiments, the ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer can function as a compatibilizer between the two polyolefins which may not be otherwise compatible. Methods of making the polymer blends and microporous films made from the polymer blends are also described.

摘要： A process for producing an alkylbenzene from an alkylphenyl alcohol comprising the steps of: (a) feeding a feed stream comprising alkylphenyl a reactor having a catalytic distillation zone; and, (b) concurrently in the reactor (i) contacting the feed stream comprising alkylphenyl alcohol with hydrogen in the catalytic distillation zone to convert alkylphenyl alcohol to alkylbenzene over a catalyst comprising Group VIII or a Group IB metal; and, (ii) separating alkylbenzene from the reaction mixture by fractional distillation to produce an overhead stream comprising alkylbenzene having a reduced concentration of alkylphenyl alcohol than the feed stream from the distillation column reactor. Examples of the alkylphenyl alcohol include cumyl alcohol, phenyl ethyl alcohol, or di(2-hydroxyl 2-propyl)benzene, and that for the alkylbenzene include cumene and diethyl benzene, or di(2-hydroxyl-2-propyl) benzene.

摘要： A process and apparatus for determining the hydrogen-to carbon ratio of the liquid fraction of a pyrolysis product by determining the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio of the pyrolysis product gas fraction and subtracting the thus determined value from the determined hydrogen-to-carbon of the hydrocarbon feed to the pyrolysis furnace. The determined value for the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio of the liquid fraction is used as a measure of cracking severity and in the control of the pyrolysis furnace in response to differences between the desired and actual hydrogen-to-carbon ratio of the liquid fraction.
