It is proposed that the liquid network (8) comprises a recycling line (15) and that in the backward operation, at least part of the discharged cells are being transferred into a second culture environment (B) different from the first culture environment (A) via the recycling line (15) for subsequent cell cultivation and/or bioproduction.
