    • The slide valve includes an outer (1) and an inner (4) valve housing. End pieces (2, 3) and retaining end members (5, 6) keep the inner valve housing stationary within the outer valve housing and a fluid flow channel (24) of cylinder shell shape is formed between the outer and inner valve housings. In the wall of each end of the inner valve housing a set of fluid flow openings (21, 22) is provided. In addition to openings the retaining end members (5, 6) the path of flow through the slide valve is formed by the fluid flow channel (24) and the fluid flow openings (21, 22). The path of flow is blocked by the valve slide (7) which has end surfaces of unequal areas cutting off those fluid flow openings (21) of the inner valve housing (4) which are situated at the end of the valve slide having the larger area, in response to a fall of pressure of a predetermined magnitude arising across the slide valve. By means of friction members (15, 16) arranged at the valve slide and having frictional engagement with the inner valve housing (4) and setting members (10, 18, 19) arranged in the valve slide it is possible to set the pressure (= the fall of pressure across the valve) at which the valve closes fairly independently of the dimensions of the flow-restricting flow channels and openings (21, 22, 24) of the slide valve.

    • A slide valve for direct-acting shutting-off of a pressure medium in case of a hose rupture, including a valve housing (1, 2), a mouth port (A and B, respectively) at either end of the valve housing, a partition (6) dividing the valve housing into two halves each facing one of said mouth ports, a valve cone (5) mounted slidable axially in both directions in the partition and having two opposite end portions (7, 8) which are of different areas and are subject to actuation by the pressure medium, and communication channels (3, 4) connecting the halves of the housing with each other. The valve cone is designed to take two positions depending on the drop in pressure across the valve, viz. a first position, called the normal working position, in which the end portion (7) of the valve cone having the greater area is nested in a valve seat in the partition (6) and pressure medium passes between the mouth ports (A, B), and a second position, called a throttle position, in which the last-mentioned end portion (7) engages and closes its associated mouth port (A) and the pressure medium is throttled down. The characteristic feature of the invention is that a fluid distribution disc (14) provided with apertures is arranged at the mouth port (B) associated with the end portion of the valve cone having the smaller area.
