Installation of the handicapped accessible shower arrangement may be carried out by installing a waterproof shower module, or similar waterproof pan, in a shower enclosure, installing, as by adhering or simply laying, the bathroom floor module on the bathroom floor, placing an edge of the bathroom floor module in substantial registry with a corresponding edge of the shower modules, sealing the joint formed between the edges of the shower and bathroom floor modules, and installing a finishing surface material over the floor of the shower module and the sidewalls of that module, as well as the walls of the shower, and over the bathroom floor module 40 and threshold. Such finishing surface may be comprised of tile and grout, stucco, or the like as will occur those in the art. The shower module may employ a ramp feature which may or may not be placed adjacent the threshold between the shower pan and the bathroom floor pan.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for creating a shower or bath enclosure, in which, given a predetermined area in which to create the shower or bath, a given prefabricated water proof bath or shower floor module is too small to occupy the entire available enclosure space. The apparatus includes the use of one or more additional enclosure components, such as one or more shower benches, to occupy a space between an edge or edges of the floor module and the exterior boundary(ies) of the enclosure space. One of the disclosed methods includes the steps of: installing wall studs to generally frame out the enclosure space within which the shower or bath will reside; placing a prefabricated floor module in the enclosure space, said module defining an outer peripheral edge, said module being smaller in at least one dimension than an area defined by the boundary; placing a shower or bath bench support frame in the space such that the support frame is adjacent at least one of the wall studs and the floor module; placing a shower or bath bench on the support frame so that the bench occupies at least a portion of any open space(s) or gaps between the outer peripheral edge of the floor module and the boundary of the proposed enclosure space; attaching wallboard to the studs such that a lower edge of the wallboard rests above and is substantially in registry with an upper peripheral edge of a sidewall of the shower or bath bench; and installing at least one of tile, stone and marble on the wallboard, the module, and the prefabricated bench, thereby resulting in a tiled shower or bath.

The tool is made up of cavity and core halves, and each half is made up of separate, removable/interchangeable, inserts which, when combined in a particular order, form the workpiece-forming surface. All or any number of the inserts may be replaced with other inserts to alter the workpiece-forming surface and allow a large number of differently shaped workpieces (i.e. having different surface features and shapes) to be formed from a single base tool. The preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a drain body adapted to be connected to a conventional prefabricated waterproof shower or bath pan. The drain body may be connected to the shower pan by any suitable means, such as but not by way of limitation by being integrally molded therewith during manufacture of the pan, by connection post-manufacture or in situ in the field. Other embodiments do not require use of a prefabricated waterproof shower or bath pan. The preferred drain body is comprised of a waterproof structure having a floor section which defines a drain aperture, and a peripheral sidewall section. Structure for releasably attaching a drain cover to the drain body is employed. The cover, which is defined by a peripheral edge, is adapted to lie in registry with, and thereby cover, a portion of the drain body floor so as to conceal the drain aperture and as much of the drain body floor as is practicable. When connected to the drain body, the peripheral edge of the cover is spaced from the drain body sidewall so as to define a gap therebetween through which water may pass while flowing toward the drain aperture. In this way, water is permitted to exit the shower or bath without the drain aperture being visible. The drain apparatus of this invention is preferably utilized as part of a tileable shower or bath arrangement, whereby flooring material such as tile may be placed onto the shower or bath pan up to the peripheral sidewall of the drain body, and additional flooring may be placed upon the drain cover. In this way, the drain is fully operational yet unnoticeable. Interchangeable drain covers may be provided to permit alteration of the decorative appearance of the drain.

The preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a drain body adapted to be connected to a conventional prefabricated waterproof shower or bath pan.
