摘要： A waste disposal container has an outer box (1) with a foldable flap arrangement (3, 4, 5, 6). An inner liner box (2) resides in the outer box (1). The outer box (1) has an opening (20) aligned with an opening (30) in the liner box (2). Waste products are dispensed through the openings (20, 30) into the interior of the liner box (2). The liner box (2) has a plastic bag cover (31) which has edges (32) located around the opening (30). The outer box (1) has a flap (3) which closes the opening (20) and seals the box (2) so that it can be delivered for incineration. Any fluid which is present in the liner box (2) from disposed syringes and needles etc. is held in the liner box (2) when upright. If the container should be displaced from its upright position fluid is retained by the edges (32) formed by the plastic bag (31). The risk of contamination from escaping fluid is reduced.

摘要： An improved package is described for use in packaging a wide variety of products, and in particular perishable food and horticultural products. The products are placed within a container (10) of the type which establishes a modified atmosphere environment therein and is cooled, as by placing the container (10) in contact with a cooling element (14) partially surrounding the container. The cooling element (14) may hold liquid which is evaporated to enhance the cooling. The container (10) and cooling collar (14) may be subjected to vacuum cooling. The container may include a mechanism to enhance the bulk gas transfer rate during the application of the vacuum while still maintaining the desired atmosphere within the container. The container atmosphere may be precharged with gas of a desired composition. In addition, fumigants may also be included therein. The package is suitable for field packing applications in which the product, such as strawberries (12), is picked directly into the container (10) surrounded by the cooling collar (14) with the container and cooling collar being placed in an outer box (16) or other receptacle. The modified atmosphere package may be sealed and palletized prior to vacuum cooling.
