    • A method for connecting a D2D communication (110) device being not part of an established D2D communication network (102) and another D2D communication device (106e) of the D2D communication network (102) to one another via at least one intermediate D2D communication device (106c, 106d) of the D2D communication network (102) is described. The method is performed by the D2D communication device (110) and comprises receiving (222), from the at least one intermediate D2D communication device (106c, 106d), a broadcast type message comprising an identifier of the another D2D communication device (106e), determining (224), based on the received identifier, whether to connect to the another D2D communication device (106e), and sending (226) an unicast type message comprising the received identifier to the at least one intermediate D2D communication device (106c, 106d) for connecting the D2D communication device (110) and the D2D communication device (106e) to one another. Therefore the connection establishment can be performed in a robust, easy, efficient and energy-efficient way.
