    • The present invention relates to an intrusion detection method by an optical backscatter pattern analysis of a fiber optic mesh. In a case where positive and negative peaks which exceed a predetermined threshold value are sensed from a differential pattern of backscattered light received from a fiber optic mesh, it is detected and warned whether a fiber optic cable has been cut with or without light reflected from a cut point in the fiber optic mesh, and positions of the cut points are detected. In a case where a point where light loss is increased above the predetermined threshold value is sensed, it is determined and warned as abnormal deformation and a position thereof is detected. Cutting of a fiber optic cable with light reflected from a cut point in the fiber optical mesh, temporary abnormal deformation, or a sinusoidal pattern or modulated sinusoidal pattern is detected and warned from a time-based pattern of backscattered light received from the fiber optic mesh, and a position thereof is also detected. Accordingly, since it can be detected that a fiber optic cable has been cut without light reflected from a cut point, an intrusion after cutting a fiber optic cable in a fiber optic mesh can be detected and warned even in a rainy day.

Accordingly, if an intruder intends to intrude inside of a fence by lifting a lower end of the fiber optic mesh or climbing over the fiber optic mesh, it is possible to effectively sense the intrusion.
