摘要： A cable channel filler (20) and a cable (50) containing the cable channel filler (20) in it's core. The channel filler (20) extends longitudinally and has a plurality of spaced longitudinally extending open pockets (23-24 & 26-27) in which cables, such as twisted pair cables (52 & 53), can be placed as part of the core. The core containing the twisted pair cables (23-24 & 26-27) in the pockets (52 & 53) can be jacketed, shielded and jacketed, or any other desired cable construction that would benefit from the use of our elongated channel filler (20). The longitudinal pocket channel openings (31) have a width (32) that is less than the envelope diameter (44) of the cable (50) to be placed in the pocket and is preferably equal to the envelope diameter (44) of the cable (23-24 & 26-27) to be placed in the pocket and is preferably equal to the envelope diameter (44) minus the maximum allowable compression distance of the cable in the pocket. Also, the cross sectional area of the pocket is substantially equal to or greater than the envelope cross sectional area of the twisted pair cable (23-24 & 26-27) and the depth (33) of the pocket is equal to or greater than the envelope diameter (44).

摘要： An electrical cable is described which comprises a first strand, a second strand, and a third strand braided together. The first and second strands are electrically conductive and electrically insulated from each other, and the third strand is electrically non-conductive. The geometry imparted to the conductive strands by the braided configuration results in the cable exhibiting improved noise rejection, lower inductance per unit length, reduced signal attenuation and reduced resistance compared with equivalent cables comprising twisted or parallel pairs of conductive strands. The cable is particularly suited to audio, video and computer applications. Cables comprising larger numbers of strands braided together, and multilayer cables are also described.
