The described techniques provide for configuration and transmission of reference signals over aggregated mini-slots by modifying (e.g., extending) transmission time intervals (TTIs) or sharing reference signals across multiple mini-slots. The reference signals may be shared between multiple aggregated mini-slots and a reference signal pattern may be determined based on data payload allocation, modulation coding scheme (MCS), rank, or other factors of the aggregated mini-slots. Data payloads may be scheduled jointly or separately for each mini-slot and may be allocated across a set of aggregated mini-slots.

A first wireless communication device receives, from a second wireless communication device, a reference signal configuration of a first network of a long-term evolution (LTE) radio access technology (RAT). The first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device are associated with a second network of another RAT. The first wireless communication device receives, from the second wireless communication device, a communication signal in the second network based on the reference signal configuration of the first network. The reference signal configuration indicates at least one of a frequency tone of a reference signal of the first network, a time period of the reference signal of the first network, or a number of antenna ports associated with the reference signal of the first network.

A base station constructs a NB-SSS signal using a root index of a Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence, a scrambling code, a cyclic shift or phase ramping sequence, and an interleaving sequence, wherein a combination of the ZC root index, the scrambling code index, the cyclic shift or phase ramping sequence index, and the interleaving sequence index signals information for a cell identifier (e.g., PCID) and frame timing. The ZC sequence used may be a long ZC sequence constructed to span a total number of tones allocated to an SSS sequence or may be a concatenation of multiple ZC sequences, wherein the concatenated ZC sequences span a total number of tones allocated to an SSS sequence.

摘要： Due to the limited dimension of a NB that may be used by multiple users, as well as possible large coverage areas, timing offset estimation may be outside of NCP. The inaccuracy in the timing estimate can be improved by using more than one tone hopping distance for PRACH. An apparatus may then transmit a first and second tone of the PRACH at a first hopping distance from the first tone. The apparatus may then transmit a third tone of the PRACH and a fourth tone of the PRACH at a second hopping distance from the third tone. The second hopping distance may be greater than first hopping distance. The apparatus may also transmit an additional tone of the PRACH using a random hopping distance. A receiving apparatus may receive the transmitted PRACH and determine a phase estimation based on the sets of tones having different hopping distances.
