摘要： A particular implementation decomposes an image into a structure component and a texture component. An edge strength map is calculated for the structure component, and a texture strength map is calculated for the texture component. Using the edge strength and the texture strength, texture masking weights are calculated. The stronger the texture strength is, or the weaker the edge strength is, the more distortion can be tolerated by human eyes, and thus, the smaller the texture masking weight is. The local distortions are then weighted by the texture masking weights to generate an overall distortion level or an overall quality metric.

摘要： A clamping mechanism and a method for applying a predetermined rated force to a power conversion apparatus are provided. The power conversion apparatus (40) includes plural power switching elements (42), plural heat sinks (44), a stack frame (60), a force application mechanism (67) and a rated force pre-assembly (72). The plural heat sinks (44) are provided among the plural power switching elements (42) to form a column, the stack frame (60) is configured to maintain the plural power switching elements (42) and the plural heat sinks (44) in the column, the force application mechanism (67) is provided at a first end of the column and configured to apply a predetermined rated force on the column, and the rated force pre-assembly (72) is provided at the first end of or at a second end of the column and configured to indicate when the predetermined rated force is present. The design of the clamping mechanism can ensure that the plural power switching elements (42) and the plural heat sinks (44) are clamped with the right amount force and it also provides uniform pressure distribution over the whole contact surfaces of the power conversion apparatus (40).

摘要： The present invention is an improved separating device for providing the malabsorptive component of a minimally invasive weight reduction system. This device may be a sleeve, liner, or tubular sheath that alters absorption of compositions through walls of hollow organs (stomach, intestines). The improvement involves better long-term retention through the ability of the device to engage with the interserosal fibrotic tissue formed in an intussusception. The separating device may be a distal extension of a retaining member that is directly engaged with and retained by intussuscepted tissue. Intussusception shrinks a hollow organ to provide a volume reducing restrictive component of a weight reduction system. Securing the separating device to an intussusception avoids retention problems of reference art devices as interserosal fibrosis helps secure the device. Also provided are an apparatus for retaining the device, a device and method for delivering the separating device, and a method for removing it.
