摘要： In a method for color enhancement the color distance between spatially close colored pixel or pixel areas does not change more than a threshold, the threshold being a function of the initial color distance. The color difference between pixels that are close together and did not differ much in color will be restricted. This reduces the change on unnatural looking parts of an image and allows more pronounced color enhancement to be 5 used.

The method includes evaluating a reference digital image of a real-life reference target on a viewing monitor, comparing at least one color in the reference digital image with a corresponding color in the real-life reference target itself, modifying the at least one color in the reference digital image by using a discriminative color correction process if the at least one color in the digital image deviates from the corresponding color in the real-life reference target, the discriminative color correction process producing at least one corrective color combination; and correcting the color of the digital images in accordance with the at least one corrective color combination.

Such shared modification may be combined with other separately specified modifications made to a composition or part of a composition. A method and system for processing a modification to be applied to sections of digital media on a digital nonlinear editing system is provided, where a first segment of a media composition represents at least a section of a digital media source. An induction of a modification to be applied to the first segment is received, and a first attribute of the first segment is identified. The method features using simple Look-Up-Tables (LUTs), whose values are calculated from uniquely defined color control functions, to digitally change the saturation of a single color of the chromatic part of a video image without affecting saturations of the remaining colors of the chromatic part of the same video image. A digital video input image is scanned, row by row, pixel by pixel. Each input image pixel value, defined from the chromatic part of the video input image, is assigned an address to be operated on by values in individual color LUTs. For a desired change in an individual color of that image, a new digital video output image is produced featuring the desired change in the individual color without affecting the remaining colors of that same image.

摘要： A system and method for visually enhancing an original image of an eye includes a visualization module. A controller is configured to convert an output of the visualization module to a first pixel cloud in a first color space and map the first pixel cloud to a second pixel cloud in a second color space. The method includes identifying at least one selected zone in the second color space. The controller is configured to move the selected zone from an original location to a modified location in the second color space. The second pixel cloud is updated to obtain a modified second pixel cloud, which is transformed into a third pixel cloud in the first color space. An enhanced image is formed based in part on the modified second pixel cloud and provides selective visual enhancement in the selected zone without affecting contrast in a remainder of the original image.
