摘要： The present invention relates to a method of conditioning a dry-packed chromatography column, which method comprises providing a column packed with inert and hydrophilic chromatography resin; and driving a solvent or solvent mix across the column. The solvent(s) are selected to be less hydrophilic than the chromatography resin; and the rate of the solvent flow is controlled to a rate which does not cause the system pressure to exceed a predefined threshold. The present invention is advantageously used in FLASH chromatography, where the generation of heat may pose problems e.g. to plastic frits or filters at high flow rates and/or wetting of dry resins.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for stabilising fatty acids present in a sample such as bodily fluids (e.g. blood, saliva, breast milk, urine, semen, blood plasma and serum), using a solid medium (such as paper, a glass-based matrix, a paper-based matrix, a cellulose-based matrix, hydrophilic polymers, polytetrafluoroethylene, fibreglass and porous ceramics) comprising chelating agents (e.g. ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid, ascorbic acid, citric acid, or salts thereof), antioxidants (e.g. butylated hydroxytoluene, butylated hydroxyanisole or t-butylhydroquinone) and less than than about 2 μg/cm2 of contaminants which is capable of stabilising fatty acids applied thereto, and a method for preparing such media. The invention further relates to a method for determining the fatty acid composition of a sample stored on such a medium.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for depletion of undesired molecules and/or enrichment of desired molecules from a sample comprising high abundant as well as low abundant molecules, comprising the following steps: a) providing a separation material comprising a solid phase (beads) comprising an inner porous core material comprising magnetic particles and an outer porous shell with a porosity equal or denser than that of the shell; b) adding the sample to the separation material; c) adsorbing a first fraction of molecules with a molecular weight of 500-50000 Da in the core and simultaneously excluding a second fraction of molecules from binding to the core and the shell, wherein the molecular weight of the second fraction molecules is at least 5 preferably 10 times higher than the molecular weight of the first fraction and d) eluting the desired molecules from the separation material, wherein step d) and optionally step c)is performed using an oscillating power/field applied over the separation material. The first fraction of molecules are for example drugs with a mw of about 700 Da, small proteins/peptides with an mw of about 7000 Da or proteins with a mw of about 40000 Da.

摘要： The present invention relates to an improved system for efficiently and accurately performing immunoassays, such as ELISAs. The invention provides an immunoassay assembly which includes a flow-through unit and an aspiration pump. The immunoassay flow-through unit includes an outer seal; at least one bed support; an inner seal; and a packed non-porous bed. The unit is releasably attached to an aspiration pump which enables the controlled flow rate of liquid passing through the packed bed of the flow-through unit. The invention also provides a method of using the immunoassay assembly to identify analytical targets of interest.
