摘要： The invention relates to a garment care device (100A) comprising a water tank (102) for containing water, a steam generator (104) in fluid communication with the water tank for generating steam, and a soleplate (108) defining an overall flat surface (109) comprising a plurality of steam vents (110) in fluid communication with the steam generator. Controlling means (120) control the flow of steam exiting the steam vents. The controlling means take a first state resulting in steam exiting the steam vents, and a second state resulting in steam not exiting the steam vents. The garment care device further comprises a button (124) adapted to be actuated by a user, a first sensing unit (128) for detecting if the user is holding or not the garment care device, and a processing unit connected to the button and to the first sensing unit. The processing unit sets the controlling means in the first state if the following primary conditions are fulfilled: the button has been continuously pressed by the user during at least a first time duration, and after the first time duration, the first sensing unit detects that the user is holding the garment care device.

摘要： A garment steaming device The present application relates to a garment steaming device. The garment steaming device comprises a steam generator (20) having a heater (22) and an ironing surface (32) against which a fabric of a garment is locatable. An intermediate section (50) is disposed between the steam generator and the ironing surface to transfer heat from the steam generator to the ironing surface so that the ironing surface is indirectly heated by the steam generator via the intermediate section. The operating temperature of the ironing surface is not user selectable during use. Furthermore, the intermediate section is configured to have a thermal transmittance so that, during use, heat transfer from the steam generator to the ironing surface is controlled and the temperature of the ironing surface is maintained between 90°C and 5°C when the ironing surface is located against a fabric in each of a stationary condition and a moving condition. The present application also relates to a steam iron,a cold water system iron or a garment steamer, and a method of operating a garment steaming device.

摘要： A garment steamer has a housing with a reservoir and a boiler for converting water to steam. The housing includes a normally closed valve in a flow path between the reservoir and the boiler. A removable fill plug in a fill opening or inlet of the reservoir is configured to engage the valve to permit water to be communicated from the reservoir via an outlet to the boiler for conversion into steam. The plug-actuated valve isolates the boiler from the reservoir when the plug is removed, providing safer refilling when the boiler is hot. The garment steamer also includes a steam discharge head coupled by a hose to the housing and configured to direct steam onto a garment or similar item.
