The locking mechanism allows sliding movement of the front shell relative to the back shell for adjustment to a desired length for a specific wearer. The locking mechanism is movable from an unlocked position allowing the front shell to move relative to the back shell, and a locked position prohibiting the front shell to move relative to the back shell. The locking mechanism may be a clamp or lever function, and/or a cam function. Accordingly, the adjustable helmet may further comprise crumple zones to further reduce and/or dissipate impact forces.

摘要： A quick adjustment and strap locking system for a head-mounted display device is provided. The system incorporates a one-touch actuation mechanism to adjust a position of a strap relative to a fixed portion of the head-mounted display device. This adjustment resizes the head opening defined by the strap to custom fit to the head shape and size of a user. Upon depressing an adjustment actuation button, a strap locking member in the system is pivoted from a strap-locked position to a strap-unlocked position. In the strap-unlocked position, the strap may be moved and adjusted, under spring force, to resize the head opening for the head-mounted display device. Releasing the adjustment actuation button pivotally returns the strap locking member into the strap-locked position and the strap is locked in place at the adjusted head opening size.

摘要： A respiratory mask system includes a mask interface and a headgear assembly. The headgear assembly is adjustable and comprised of an elastic portion, a non-elastic portion and a restriction mechanism configured to provide a force resisting movement of the non-elastic portion when the elastic portion is extended. There is a support beam coupled to the non- elastic portion and extending along a portion of the headgear that is curved along its longitudinal extent. In this way particular seal modules can be comfortably fitted to a user and any blow off force is mitigated. A particular example of the respiratory mask system includes provision for removable attachment between the seal and a mask frame, the mask frame and a yoke of the headgear; and between a conduit and the mask frame.
